Role Overview

AlertMedia is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer for the AI Agent and Orchestration team located in Mexico City or remotely within Mexico. The position focuses on building AI assistants, orchestration products, and platform capabilities using modern technologies and AI-assisted tools.

Key Responsibilities

Build and ship features for the AI Assistant and Orchestration products, including agents, tools, and approval steps.
Implement evaluation cases for AI behavior to prevent quality degradation prior to releases.
Learn the AlertMedia platform, tools, and their application for customers.
Write code using Python, Django, Next.js, React, Node, and related web technologies.
Utilize AI-enabled tools like Claude, Codex, and emerging platforms for development, problem-solving, and documentation.
Operate in an Agile environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
Contribute innovative ideas to maintain technology leadership and collaborate across engineering and product teams.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building scalable web applications, preferably with Python, Django, React, and Node.
Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features such as agents, function calling, MCP integrations, retrieval, and model evaluation.
Familiarity with agentic design patterns and frameworks like Strands, AutoGen, and LangChain.
Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
Established practice of writing unit and integration tests.
Proficiency with AI coding tools across the development lifecycle.
Strong English proficiency, written and oral.
Legal right to work in Mexico without sponsorship.
