About this role

Analytical professionals who thrive at the intersection of product metering, billing systems, and strategic partnerships will find a strong operational home in this role. Databricks needs leadership to protect its usage-based revenue engine as the organization continues to scale rapidly.

The incoming Senior Manager will bridge the gap between raw product metering data and financial ground truth by overseeing usage remediation, partner reporting, and root-cause analysis. Daily responsibilities involve managing operational workflows, maintaining data assets to inform executive decisions, and ensuring strict adherence to compliance guardrails alongside engineering teams.

Success in this function requires a combination of technical acumen, cross-functional influence, and deep familiarity with consumption-based revenue accounting. Candidates must be comfortable establishing standard operating procedures, handling complex SLA issues, and translating usage insights into lasting operational improvements.

What you will do

  • Categorize and resolve various SLA and usage issues that impact customer experience and financial accuracy.
  • Lead mandatory cross-functional root-cause analyses with engineering to address finance-impacting issues and align execution with compliance guardrails.
  • Maintain necessary metrics, reporting, and data assets to inform leadership decision-making and project prioritization.
  • Catalog and maintain a deep understanding of key partnership terms while creating and preserving standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee the execution of outbound reporting workstreams by staff and sign off on operational outcome results.
  • Partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to turn usage insights into operational improvements.

What you need

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Bring 10 or more years of relevant experience with extensive expertise in business partnering and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
