About this role

Tenstorrent is seeking a skilled Sr. Engineer, SoC Design Verification to lead pre-silicon verification for the Beowulf SoC across hybrid locations in Boston, Santa Clara, and Toronto. This position is ideal for verification professionals who want to shape cutting-edge artificial intelligence platforms and high-performance RISC-V CPU technology.

Role Overview

In this position, the professional will focus heavily on the Compute Subsystem, DDR memory subsystem, and Fabric NoC. The individual will guide coverage, coherency, memory traffic, and bring-up features necessary for overall silicon success. Team members at various experience levels are welcome to apply, with final leveling determined during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable verification environments for the Beowulf SoC Compute Subsystem, DDR, and Fabric NoC at both subsystem and full-SoC levels.
Create, update, and run test scenarios covering compute operations, memory initialization, routing, ordering, QoS, power management, and error handling.
Investigate coverage gaps, resolve testing failures, and execute root-cause analysis alongside architecture, RTL, firmware, emulation, and system groups.
Direct verification planning, regression quality, coverage closure, and signoff for major SoC features.
Implement verification flow automation using scripting, reusable structures, and AI productivity tools.
Guide colleagues and help improve verification methodology and design-for-verification standards.

Requirements

Strong curiosity regarding SoC architecture, compute systems, DDR behavior, and Fabric NoC interconnect verification.
Deep expertise in UVM, SystemVerilog, coverage-driven verification, assertions, and subsystem-level debugging.
Background in verifying compute subsystems, DDR controllers, PHY-facing logic, interconnect protocols, coherency, ordering, and data movement.
Familiarity with reset protocols, power management, error handling, performance metrics, and concurrency system scenarios.
Proactive and detail-oriented communication abilities for cross-functional technical discussions.
Familiarity with programming and automation tools like Python, C, C++, Tcl, and CocoTB.
