Sr Due Diligence Design Engineer
About this role
Evaluating prospective data center sites and leading technical due diligence forms the core daily activity in this position. The senior engineer operates as the primary technical evaluator bridging the Site Selection group and the broader Design and Engineering organization. Responsibilities include assessing utility availability, building suitability, infrastructure capacity, and land-use considerations across electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil disciplines.
CoreWeave scales infrastructure for artificial intelligence workloads, requiring meticulous technical vetting before lease execution or acquisition. The professional in this role reviews provider proposals, examines conceptual layouts, identifies technical risks, and delivers structured handoffs to designated Design Managers upon site acquisition. Frequent travel to prospective data center locations is required for candidates joining this team.
Ideal candidates bring extensive engineering judgment and a multidisciplinary perspective to evaluate complex site constraints independently. The position suits engineering professionals who communicate clearly with external partners, manage tracking dashboards, and provide concise go/no-go recommendations for prospective real estate opportunities.
