Role Overview

The Senior Data Scientist acts as the initial technical team member for a new client engagement. The professional collaborates directly with a project manager and the client leadership to convert complex business challenges into actionable analytical solutions and deployed models.

Key Responsibilities

Formulate analytical problems from stakeholder inquiries and communicate technical trade-offs to various audiences.
Prepare and validate datasets from diverse sources to generate reliable analytical features.
Develop and assess statistical and machine learning models using straightforward methodologies.
Create and evaluate experiments like A/B tests alongside defining relevant business metrics.
Collaborate with client engineers to deploy, integrate, and monitor production models.
Produce tested, reproducible code with thorough documentation of methodologies and assumptions.
Maintain transparent project progress and proactively communicate potential risks.

Requirements

Minimum of four years of professional experience working as a Data Scientist or in related applied machine learning and advanced analytics roles.
Proficiency in Python utilizing libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn, alongside SQL.
Core background in statistical principles, model validation, and experiment design.
Demonstrated history of delivering practical models from exploration to stakeholder adoption.
Fluent spoken and written English proficiency.

Nice to Have

Background in retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing domains focusing on demand forecasting, customer analytics, or pricing.
Production deployment and MLOps experience on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of modern data stack tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or dbt.
