Role Overview

Pyyne is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and improve a custom AI intelligence solution for a US-based client. The professional works remotely from Brazil or Argentina alongside a senior engineer, taking ownership of defined tasks with some autonomy. Regular communication, proactive status updates, and delivering small incremental updates are central to the position.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and enhance Python services and features for a custom AI intelligence application.
Partner daily with a senior engineer to receive technical direction and architectural guidance.
Release small, tested updates frequently to demonstrate progress to the team and client.
Participate in regular sync meetings to communicate project status, blockers, and potential risks.
Adjust rapidly to shifting client priorities.
Support large language model and retrieval-augmented generation elements of the product as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of professional development experience using Python.
Practical background utilizing asynchronous Python and constructing REST APIs.
Competency in SQL, PostgreSQL, ORM usage, and schema migrations.
Experience in writing automated tests with pytest.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Capacity to function independently on defined tasks and request assistance when necessary.
Advanced written and spoken fluency in English.

Nice to Have

Background working with LLMs, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and prompt design, including personal projects.
Knowledge of vector databases such as pgvector.
Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployment, particularly on AWS.
Experience utilizing message queues and background workers.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles.
