Driving client discussions and defining technical strategy for major accounts forms the core of daily operations for Solutions Architects at Databricks. Collaborating closely with Enterprise Account Executives, team members direct technical initiatives for large enterprises in the high-tech and manufacturing sectors, fostering deeper adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. Practitioners build movements of technical champions, lead customer evaluations, and act as the primary technical voice across multiple accounts.
Pre-sales professionals with a background in value selling, technical account management, and cloud technologies find a natural fit within this group. Individuals manage virtual teams, form relationships with enterprise executives, and present convincing viewpoints to key decision-makers. Success requires a solid foundation in big data and data science, alongside production programming capabilities in languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Java.
What you will do
- Define and direct the technical strategy for large enterprise accounts in partnership with Enterprise Account Executives.
- Act as the main technical voice for Databricks while guiding clients through evaluation and adoption.
- Build a movement of technical champions and form strong relationships with executives and influencers.
- Align technical strategies around company solutions and provide structured mentorship for other team members.
- Establish virtual teams and lead them to ultimate success within assigned accounts.
What you need
- Demonstrated pre-sales experience helping large enterprises become more data-driven.
- Technical competence in big data, data science, and cloud environments.
- Production programming experience utilizing Python, R, Scala, or Java.
- Track record of working with very large, global accounts generating over one million dollars in annual recurring revenue.
- Ability to present a convincing point of view to important decision-makers and drive data-driven business transformation.
