Lightfield seeks a Staff Infrastructure Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale the foundational systems driving its AI-powered CRM platform in San Francisco. This full-time position suits an experienced developer with a strong background in backend systems who thrives in fast-paced startup environments.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and maintain end-to-end full-stack systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Design and scale backend services and data infrastructure to support artificial intelligence workflows.
Create and refine data models that facilitate customer interactions, CRM processes, and AI-derived insights.
Establish metrics and observability tools for proactive problem resolution and operational smoothness.
Guide colleagues through code reviews and mentorship while contributing to engineering best practices.
Help expand the engineering organization through active participation in recruitment and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Bring seven or more years of professional software development background focusing on backend systems, data modeling, and infrastructure.
Demonstrate extensive expertise in constructing high-performance data infrastructure capable of large-scale data processing.
Possess solid knowledge of query optimization, indexing methods, and database design within relational databases like PostgreSQL.
Show enthusiasm for large language models and designing systems that utilize them.
Learn quickly within a technology stack utilizing TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Hold a degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
Excel in ambiguous situations by independently managing projects to completion in a rapid setting.
Communicate technical choices clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
