About this role
Developing conversational AI agents, optimizing latency, and integrating real-time translation tools form the core daily focus for engineers on this team. RapidSOS operates a public safety intelligence platform that connects millions of devices with emergency responders worldwide. Within the Voice AI group, engineers design backend architectures, evaluation tooling, and full-stack features that help emergency services triage alerts and coordinate faster responses.
Created to expand the capabilities of emergency response technology, the position suits software engineers who enjoy building reliable, production-grade AI systems. Successful candidates typically bring a strong background in backend or full-stack engineering, a habit of using AI-assisted coding tools daily, and a careful approach to safety-sensitive software.
