Role Overview

The Cloud Network team at Crusoe invites early-career professionals to help build, operate, and scale high-performance cloud network infrastructure. This position offers mentorship and hands-on experience in distributed systems, allowing the selected candidate to gradually take on independent ownership of impactful features. Working closely with senior engineers, the individual will learn essential cloud network primitives while contributing to reliable network solutions that power massive artificial intelligence workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to implement well-scoped cloud network features defined by engineering leads.
Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code spanning from bare metal infrastructure to user-facing APIs.
Author design documentation and actively participate in software rollouts and testing processes.
Engage in code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback to support overall code quality.
Participate in architecture discussions, team tech talks, and engineering book clubs to accelerate continuous technical learning.

Requirements

Around one year of hands-on experience or equivalent background in building or operating software systems through internships, school projects, or professional roles.
Familiarity with core engineering practices such as source control using Git, code reviews, testing, and basic CI/CD build processes.
Working knowledge of at least one programming language, including Java or Go.
Basic understanding of computer architecture concepts and Linux fundamentals.
Strong communication skills paired with a collaborative mindset and a readiness to ask questions and learn from senior peers.

Nice to Have

Coursework, personal projects, or internships involving distributed systems or network technologies.
Exposure to networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, VXLAN, or Open vSwitch (OVS).
Contributions to personal or school-related open source projects.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
