Role Overview

Knowunity is seeking a Software Engineer to join the foundation team with a primary focus on mobile in Berlin. This full-time role places the right candidate at the forefront of building the premier AI learning companion designed for students worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Shape the core of the Flutter application by working on shared components, design systems, state management, performance, and related tooling.
Develop agentic and AI infrastructure, including Model Context Protocol servers, background agent platforms, and evaluation feedback loops.
Enhance developer experience through continuous integration, release tooling, and removing daily engineering friction.
Deliver user-facing product features alongside foundational tasks to maintain a practical understanding of the developer ecosystem.
Ensure high reliability and maintenance standards across the codebase to support internal product teams.

Requirements

Several years of professional experience developing mobile or web applications.
Daily utilisation of agentic coding tools with practical insights into their performance and limitations.
Strong attention to visual design, layout spacing, animation fluidity, and component behavior.
Proficiency in clear English communication and a demonstrated drive to streamline operational systems.

Nice to Have

Prior experience building mobile applications using Flutter.
Background working with Golang or alternative backend languages.
Previous projects involving autonomous agents, MCP, or evaluation systems.
