Role Overview

Mistral AI is seeking a talented Software Engineer with a background in cybersecurity to develop and launch the company's security product offerings. The selected professional will convert advanced prototypes into dependable, scalable services that support both defensive and offensive security operations. This position enables the creation of infrastructure that allows client-site deployments and gives research teams environments to train against. Candidates will orchestrate agent loops, utilize corporate tech stacks, and build SDKs, connectors, and worker scaling mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

Transition cyber harness research and service prototypes into scalable, deployable solutions.
Coordinate red-team and blue-team agent loops involving vulnerability detection, patching, redeployment, and testing.
Formulate context engineering strategies to support autonomous security workflows.
Design and implement connectors, worker scaling utilities, SDKs, and packaging to elevate demos into full-scale services.
Integrate solutions onto the corporate tech stack, including Vibe and temporal-style workflow orchestrators.
Deploy and scale security capabilities using containers and Kubernetes.
Leverage AI models to drive agentic security operations and migrate early-stage prototypes to production infrastructure.
Build the engineering foundation required for client-site deployments and continuous improvement testing.

Requirements

Strong background as a software engineer with practical experience developing cybersecurity tooling or products.
Familiarity with context engineering and LLM or agentic orchestration.
Demonstrated history of shipping production-quality code with a strong builder mindset.
Working knowledge of service architecture and distributed systems.
High attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Professional communication skills and a collaborative team orientation.

Nice to Have

Background in offensive tooling, red-teaming, or harness construction.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration internals like Temporal.
Prior experience constructing harnesses for cybersecurity use cases or similar agent frameworks.
Infrastructure expertise utilizing Kubernetes and containers.
Practical exposure to AI and machine learning systems within security environments.
History of contributions to open-source orchestration or security tools.
