Operating as a senior individual contributor, the incoming manager collaborates directly with product marketing, communications, design, engineering, and leadership to craft accurate technical messaging. Responsibilities include setting channel strategies, ghostwriting for team members, producing short-form video, and monitoring community conversations around latency, throughput, and GPU costs. Success requires deep technical fluency and the judgment to manage a prominent brand voice during rapid product cycles.
What you will do
- Serve as the primary voice of the brand across channels like X, LinkedIn, and YouTube while building direct communication lines with the technical community.
- Monitor industry conversations around artificial intelligence and open source to contribute relevant insights quickly.
- Establish social strategy, determine channel investments, and measure audience growth against specific goals.
- Convert technical achievements like model launches, benchmarks, and engineering deep dives into shareable posts.
- Collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams to lead social execution during product launches.
- Create short-form video content and manage external creators or contractors to scale output.
- Assist internal team members and leadership with personal branding through coaching and ghostwriting.
What you need
- Bring over five years of experience managing social accounts for technical, developer-facing, or B2B technology brands.
- Demonstrate a documented history of growing accounts and provide examples of previous successful posts.
- Possess the technical literacy needed to discuss inference, GPUs, and model performance accurately with engineers.
- Demonstrate native fluency on X and LinkedIn alongside practical comfort with short-form video production.
- Exercise sound judgment when entrusted with a major brand account and navigate rapid, shifting launch cycles effectively.
- Maintain a clear perspective on how artificial intelligence companies establish their online presence.
