Role Overview

The person in this role sets the strategy and handles end-to-end execution, from technical site foundations to AI-driven visibility and authority building across the full platform.

Key Responsibilities

Own technical SEO across the company website, managing on-page optimization, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, and regular technical audits while partnering with web engineering agencies.
Monitor and improve crawl efficiency and indexing, managing structured data (JSON-LD) and emerging AI crawling protocols such as llms.txt and markdown alternates.
Manage agency and vendor relationships across SEO, AEO, and content production, determining what work remains in-house.
Optimize content for LLM and AI-search visibility using schema, answer-first formatting, and semantic reinforcement.
Extend visibility to trusted community sources like Reddit, YouTube, review sites, and LinkedIn to support both human readers and AI crawlers.
Run controlled experiments to measure AI citations, track retrieval patterns, and report on citation share alongside organic traffic and rankings.
Build category authority by targeting core private markets topics, fund administration, and general operations rather than product terms alone.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, including hands-on ownership of a technical SEO program at a large B2B organization.
Demonstrated, hands-on AEO/GEO experience with the ability to cite specific examples of earning placement in AI answer engines.
Track record of earning backlinks and media citations through original research or data.
Practical experience with SEO and GEO tooling, rank trackers, log-file analysis, and AI-citation monitoring platforms.
Technical fluency with structured data and schema markup (JSON-LD) to spec work for engineering teams.
Strong editorial judgment and writing skills to shape and structure content effectively.
Comfort working in ambiguous environments where best practices are still developing.
Experience optimizing social media and video content for search.
Background in financial services, fintech, or private markets, or a proven ability to learn complex domains quickly.
