About this role

Role Overview

The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager for Cloud Engineering Operations at Crusoe in San Francisco is a full-time leadership role focused on scaling the operational framework for a growing cloud engineering team. This position suits an autonomous, technical professional with a background in infrastructure who thrives in ambiguous environments and wants to drive cross-team execution.

Key Responsibilities

Own the overarching execution view across Cloud Infrastructure, monitoring priorities, commitments, and plan-versus-reality divergences.
Coordinate and unblock initiatives spanning compute, storage, networking, and Crusoe Managed Kubernetes to drive projects to committed dates.
Run the Cloud Infrastructure staff meeting, ensuring every session produces actionable decisions rather than simple readouts.
Partner with Cloud Product and Technical Product Management teams to streamline planning cycles and pre-negotiate priorities.
Collaborate with the Chief of Staff organization to align headcount planning, operating rhythms, and strategic direction while maintaining a clean functional seam.
Produce recurring executive readouts detailing Cloud Infrastructure execution health.
Take ownership of unowned cross-cutting problems, driving them to a successful outcome or assigning a permanent owner.
Drive tool adoption and hygiene in Jira and Confluence across Cloud Infrastructure to establish a reliable single source of truth.
Measure and actively reduce time-to-unblock metrics for cross-team dependencies.

Requirements

Ten or more years of experience in software engineering, technical program management, or a technical product role close to production systems.
Proven track record of driving multi-team technical initiatives to committed dates within an infrastructure, platform, or cloud organization.
Demonstrated ability to design, prove, and scale operational processes or planning models for broader organizational adoption.
Strong ability to unblock engineering teams without formal authority through precision, follow-through, and collaborative communication.
Deep fluency with issue-tracking systems at scale, specifically driving behavior change around Jira usage.
Exceptional written communication skills capable of aligning dozens of engineers efficiently.
High-drive, low-ego mindset with comfort navigating incomplete documentation, informal processes, and ongoing initiatives.

Nice to Have

Professional background working within major cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes, operating systems, or distributed systems at the infrastructure layer.
Prior experience in AI or machine learning infrastructure and large-scale GPU fleets.
Direct experience executing an operating-model or planning-process rollout across multiple organizations.
Working knowledge of Jira automation, Confluence, Grafana, or Sigma.
Appetite to grow the function and manage a small team over time.
