Role Overview

The Senior Staff Solutions Engineer acts as the primary technical advisor for strategic enterprise clients deploying large-scale artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads onto Crusoe's specialized GPU infrastructure. This position bridges the gap between external clients and internal product engineering teams. The professional in this role manages the entire deployment lifecycle, ranging from initial proof-of-concept phases through post-sale optimization and scaling.

Key Responsibilities

Guide strategic enterprise clients through technical onboarding, architectural design, and the execution of proofs-of-concept for complex AI and machine learning workloads.
Architect and implement containerized machine learning stacks utilizing Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and multi-node orchestration tools to ensure high performance.
Assist clients in migrating and translating workloads across multiple cloud ecosystems, evaluating the performance tradeoffs between major public clouds and Crusoe infrastructure.
Deliver engaging technical presentations, workshops, live demonstrations, and solution reviews while authoring content like case studies and solution briefs.
Serve as the primary conduit for customer feedback, channeling insights directly to internal product and engineering divisions to improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

Bring seven or more years of professional experience building, managing, and deploying containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
Demonstrate proven success deploying machine learning tools and frameworks such as MLflow, Ray, or Airflow for model training and inference workflows.
Possess hands-on architectural knowledge of compute, storage, and networking across major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Maintain strong command over Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces for troubleshooting infrastructure hurdles.
Exhibit strong interpersonal and technical communication skills to successfully navigate customer interactions in pre- and post-sales capacities.

Nice to Have

Practical familiarity with distributed machine learning orchestration technologies like Kubeflow or Ray.
Background exposure to Slurm alongside a primary concentration on containerized MLOps models.
Direct experience executing multi-cloud migrations, particularly transitioning workloads from AWS to alternative providers.
Prior history of publishing technical content, giving public tech talks, or writing case studies.
