Driving monetization initiatives across subscription models and new business bets, the incoming specialist will own pricing, packaging, conversion funnels, and retention metrics. This position requires designing rigorous experiments, establishing foundational unit economics for emerging products, and scaling a sustainable business model that serves everyone from casual creators to Grammy winners in NYC.
What you will do
- Drive all monetization efforts including subscription conversion, churn reduction, and revenue models for new business bets.
- Design and execute end-to-end experiments across pricing, packaging, paywalls, and other revenue surfaces.
- Establish the data foundation for new product lines by defining metrics, funnels, and unit economics from day one.
- Collaborate cross-functionally as the lead data scientist for the product area alongside product, engineering, and design.
- Advance the company mission by building a reliable business model that supports creators at every level.
What you need
- Bring six to eight or more years of experience in data science or product analytics roles with ownership of revenue or growth surfaces.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling.
- Possess deep experimentation experience grounded in statistical rigor for designing, running, and deriving insights from tests.
- Show hands-on experience solving monetization problems such as conversion funnels, churn, retention, and pricing.
- Collaborate effectively across functions to influence stakeholders through clear data-driven recommendations.
Nice to have
- Experience monetizing more than one kind of product like consumer and business, or subscription and usage-based
- Experience taking a new product or business line from zero to its first revenue
- Hands-on AI usage in day-to-day data science work including agents, prompting, and building small tools
