About this role
The Security Foundations organization builds cryptographic infrastructure that secures data centers, GPU fleets, and platform layers supporting AI workloads. Within this division, the PKI & Secrets team handles public key infrastructure, secrets management, hardware security modules, and code signing to keep cloud systems authentic and confidential.
Incoming engineers focus on designing and operating attestation infrastructure that guarantees cloud components run untampered firmware and expected dependencies. The position requires strong problem-solving skills around hardware roots of trust, distributed system security, and developer-friendly tooling. Ideal candidates combine pragmatic engineering habits with a deep interest in how trust is established at scale.
What you will do
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of CoreWeave's Attestation Service that measures and validates cloud infrastructure integrity backed by hardware root of trust.
- Manage and evolve the collection of verifiable data from the environment at large scale to assert trust and confidence.
- Support the lifecycle and governance of infrastructure through automated data gathering and validation workflows.
- Perform hands-on engineering in root of trust and identity domains including hardware security module infrastructure and key management systems.
- Integrate public key infrastructure solutions with various platforms and products across the company.
What you need
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience in security engineering or infrastructure engineering.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of public key infrastructure concepts including certificate authority hierarchies, profiles, issuance policies, revocation, and trust distribution.
- Show proficiency in programming languages such as Go or Python to build production tooling and automation.
- Bring practical experience working with Kubernetes environments.

What is the salary range for this role?
The base salary range is $153,000 to $204,000. The starting salary is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
