Role Overview

TRM Labs is hiring a remote Senior Software Engineer, Data Product in South America to design and build mission-critical data services. This full-time role suits an experienced engineer with a strong background in distributed systems and data engineering who wants to help secure the financial system.

Key Responsibilities

Build highly scalable features that integrate smoothly with dozens of blockchains.
Design and architect intricate data models optimized for storage and retrieval to maintain sub-second latency when querying blockchain data.
Collaborate across departments by partnering with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to implement novel data models that enhance TRM products.
Successfully design and document system improvements and features for projects from the ground up.
Deliver efficient, reusable systems while optimizing team throughput and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting scalable API development, distributed system architecture, and guiding projects from initial ideation to production deployment.
Exceptional programming skills in Python alongside adeptness in SQL or SparkSQL.
Versatility in data engineering spanning data stores, orchestration tools, streaming workflows, and cloud infrastructure.
Proven ability in loading, querying, and transforming extensive datasets.
