Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design and operation of highly reliable billing services within the Cloud Customer Experience organization.
Shape the technical roadmap for the billing domain, focusing on high-throughput metering, pricing, and invoicing architectures.
Architect real-time and batch usage processing pipelines, immutable ledger models, and automated reconciliation engines.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to implement flexible enterprise pricing and commitment models.
Establish robust safeguards and automated verification workflows to prevent financial discrepancies and systemic risk.
Enhance system observability, fault-tolerant error handling, and distributed state consistency.
Mentor mid-level engineers and drive strong engineering standards during design reviews.

Requirements

Possess four to six years of professional software development experience focusing on backend systems.
Background in building or operating billing, payments, metering, or financial systems, or equivalent high-integrity distributed data platforms.
Professional development expertise using languages such as Java, Rust, C++, or Go.
Demonstrated experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems featuring data consistency guarantees and idempotency patterns.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, and batch data modeling for financial contexts.
