Role Overview

The Senior SEO Consultant acts as a strategic adviser for major brands, steering digital discoverability across traditional search engines and AI-driven platforms. Working within the Commerce Performance practice in Amsterdam, the person in this role manages complex multi-market accounts, translates data into actionable direction, and helps define new methods for brand visibility in AI-generated answers.

Key Responsibilities

Own client relationships related to discoverability, serving as a primary sparring partner for marketing leaders and digital directors.

Design and execute end-to-end SEO and generative engine optimization strategies, covering audits, technical fixes, and content optimization.

Transform data insights from analytics platforms into clear strategic direction and measurable business impact.

Coach and mentor junior and medior team members to elevate craft quality and client management skills.

Shape the internal proposition for AI search visibility, testing new auditing and measurement frameworks.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on technical and strategic SEO experience on complex, multi-market websites.

Demonstrated consultancy background advising clients and steering strategic direction at a senior level.

Prior experience mentoring and supporting the professional growth of colleagues.

Full professional proficiency in English.

Current residency in the Netherlands with the required right to work.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in the Dutch language.

Prior experience with generative engine optimization.
