Role Overview

VML/WPP Enterprise Solutions is hiring a Senior Consultant to join the Business Services team in London. The position focuses on helping enterprise clients navigate changes in consumer behavior, AI-powered search, and digital commerce models. The role connects strategic recommendations directly to execution teams spanning creative, content, CX, and commerce.

Key Responsibilities

Own medium-scale projects end-to-end, managing scope, quality, delivery timelines, and client relationships.
Develop strategic recommendations covering commerce transformation, AI discoverability, agentic commerce readiness, and channel optimization.
Translate ambiguous briefs into clear project plans with defined deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and co-creation sessions for mid-to-senior client stakeholders.
Identify growth and extension opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to proposals and pitches.
Coach and develop junior team members, setting quality standards and potentially line managing 1 to 2 staff members.
Build practice intellectual property, including reusable frameworks, case studies, and proposition collateral.

Requirements

Extensive professional experience with a track record in consulting, strategy, or senior commercial and digital roles.
Deep understanding of commerce ecosystems, bridging trading, content, category management, channel strategy, and technology.
Working knowledge of AI discoverability, including GEO, AEO, LLM-influenced discovery, and conversational commerce.
Proven ability to lead projects independently, managing scope, quality, and client expectations.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills to translate data into commercially prioritized recommendations.
Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to lead rooms and run workshops.
Experience building methodology or practice intellectual property such as frameworks and playbooks.

Nice to Have

Brand-side experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or commercial leadership involving P&L management.
Industry experience in CPG, FMCG, Consumer health, Automotive, Retail, or Telecom.
Change management or enablement experience helping organizations adopt new operating models.
Line management or mentoring experience.
Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, LLMs, or agentic platforms.
Experience with commerce technology platforms such as Shopify, SFCC, Commercetools, or PIM/DAM systems.
