Senior Scale Solution Engineer (Korean-speaking; English required)
About this role
Databricks needs a technical anchor to support scaled customer interactions and guide organizations through pre-sales evaluation, onboarding, and production phases. This team member addresses the challenge of delivering high-quality technical guidance to multiple customers concurrently by developing and improving AI-augmented workflows.
Working directly with users in the Tokyo market, the new hire serves as the primary expert on the Databricks Data + AI Platform. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, fluency in both Korean and English, and a background in cloud platforms or data analytics.
What you will do
- Guide customers through various stages of their lifecycle, spanning pre-sales evaluation, onboarding, and production.
- Act as the technical anchor and go-to expert for the Databricks Data + AI Platform in a scaled customer motion.
- Build and improve AI-augmented workflows that allow the team to deliver high-quality guidance efficiently.
- Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently while setting the quality bar for the group.
- Assess customer needs, foster relationships, address objections, and demonstrate platform value.
What you need
- Hold an undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or possess similar relevant experience.
- Bring four or more years of experience in a technical role, preferably within the Data, AI, or Cloud domain.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Possess knowledge of AI-driven development using programming languages like Python or SQL to build AI-augmented workflows.
- Understand end-to-end data analytics and data engineering workflows along with their associated trade-offs.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
