Senior Scale Solution Engineer

The senior scale solution engineer acts as a technical anchor for the scaled customer motion, guiding users through pre-sales evaluation, onboarding, and production phases. Practitioners in this position independently manage complex engagements and construct AI-augmented workflows to help the broader team deliver high-quality support.
This role exists to scale technical guidance and ensure clients achieve success across their lifecycle with the platform. Candidates who succeed here possess strong organizational skills, deep cloud platform knowledge, and the ability to build AI-driven tooling while handling multiple customer interactions concurrently.
What you will do
- Own customer engagements independently from pre-sales evaluation through onboarding and into production.
- Serve as the primary technical expert on the Databricks Data and AI Platform by directing technical strategy.
- Construct and refine AI-augmented workflows to enable the team to provide scalable guidance.
- Manage multiple customer interactions concurrently while establishing the quality standard for the group.
- Assess client needs, build relationships, handle objections, and demonstrate platform value.
What you need
- Possess an undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or hold relevant professional experience.
- Bring a minimum of 4 years of experience working in a technical role within the data, AI, or cloud domain.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Apply programming skills in Python or SQL toward AI-driven development and the creation of AI-augmented workflows.
- Understand end-to-end data analytics and data engineering workflows along with their underlying trade-offs.
- Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and prioritization abilities.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with more than one cloud platform among AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience building AI tooling and automation
- Background in consulting or pre-sales
