Role Overview

As a Senior Product Designer on Badoo, you will take end-to-end ownership of meaningful surfaces including onboarding, people discovery, chatting, and associated monetization experiences. Operating within a lean, fast-moving team, you will design for a diverse global membership under real-world constraints. You will serve as a key voice connecting product, engineering, research, and data science, driving both user satisfaction and commercial pragmatism.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design for multiple Badoo surfaces, managing work from discovery and problem framing to interaction design, visual polish, and delivery.
Design balanced monetization experiences such as paywalls, consumables, and subscription flows that feel fair and transparent to members.
Execute work within an experiment-led framework, designing for A/B tests, tracking results, and iterating based on data and user feedback.
Contribute new patterns and components to help modernize Badoo's evolving design system and improve consistency across the platform.
Collaborate closely with product managers, user researchers, data scientists, and engineers to frame problems, validate hypotheses, and evolve evidence-based designs.
Apply AI-powered tools and methods responsibly to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, and personalize user experiences.
Provide and receive precise design critique, maintaining high standards of craft and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Typically requires 5 to 8 years of experience delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences from ambiguity to release.
Strong product mindset with a proven ability to frame problems before solutioning and connect design decisions to user and business outcomes.
Commercial fluency with experience designing fair, well-crafted monetization features rather than bolt-on additions.
Ability to thrive with constraints in a lean, fast-moving team on a mature product requiring modernization.
Experience working in an experiment-driven environment, designing for A/B tests and reasoning under uncertainty.
Strong visual and interaction design craft with high standards for polish, rigor, and intentionality.
Grounding in inclusive design principles, accessibility standards, and a global mindset.
