Role Overview

Deepgram is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer based in Singapore to drive technical evaluations and support strategic accounts across the APAC region. This full-time remote role suits an experienced customer-facing technical professional with an AI-first mindset who enjoys combining client strategy with hands-on coding and architecture design.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions for strategic opportunities, mapping business goals to measurable technical success criteria and evaluation plans.
Design, scope, and execute proofs of concept that prove value by defining clear datasets, metrics, and timelines.
Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos utilizing Deepgram APIs and SDKs.
Advise enterprise clients on system architecture focusing on accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, and hybrid or self-hosted data residency needs.
Navigate security and compliance requirements across APAC, preparing responses for regional regulations including the Singapore PDPA and Japan APPI.
Triage and debug technical evaluation issues, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers rapidly.
Create reusable field assets, runbooks, reference architectures, and guides to scale regional sales efforts.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional experience in Solutions Engineering or a related customer-facing technical pre-sales role.
Software engineering background in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Rust.
Hands-on technical experience with modern cloud platforms, containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
Proven history of leading successful proofs of concept for enterprise customers to secure technical wins.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for technical and executive audiences alike, with fluency in English and strong alignment with APAC business hours.

Nice to Have

Practical background working with speech recognition, text-to-speech, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate large language models.
Familiarity with real-time media and telephony concepts such as WebRTC, SIP, WebSockets, and streaming integrations.
Experience managing self-hosted or hybrid deployments involving production observability and Helm-based installations.
Knowledge of authentication protocols, authorization frameworks, and data residency standards relevant to APAC enterprise security reviews.
Fluency in an additional Asian language such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Hindi.
