Senior Platform Software Engineer (AI Specialist)
About this role
To address the need for streamlined developer workflows and integrated AI capabilities, Two Six Technologies requires a technical owner to manage its internal AI orchestration ecosystem. The core Platform Team builds a curated, self-service product designed to reduce cognitive load and accelerate delivery for Stream-Aligned feature teams.
Working within this group, the incoming engineer designs, deploys, and maintains the underlying infrastructure and developer tools that enable full-stack developers to embed agentic AI into their codebases. Responsibilities include scaling an internal orchestrator layer for LLM interactions, token allocation, and tool execution loops while ensuring clean operational boundaries within a monorepo structure.
Ideal candidates bring proven experience with AI agent frameworks, full-stack application engineering, and infrastructure automation. Applicants must be comfortable operating autonomously in a hybrid environment while collaborating across team boundaries to drive platform architecture.
What you will do
- Establish, scale, and maintain an internal orchestrator layer to efficiently manage LLM interactions, tool execution loops, context windows, and token allocation.
- Design and package shared utilities, client libraries, and standardized abstractions like managed agentic skills and database migration patterns for feature teams.
- Partner with developers to evaluate, select, and optimize prompt engineering guardrails, embedding stores, and testing patterns.
- Ensure platform components are hosted independently, version-controlled, and seamlessly importable to allow for safe rollbacks within a monorepo structure.
- Participate in internal guilds and cross-team workshops as a technical consultant to keep architectural decisions across UI, API, and data model layers stable.
- Operate effectively within an Agile software development environment while maintaining predictable automated testing guardrails.
What you need
- Demonstrated engineering experience building and deploying AI agent frameworks, orchestrators, or middleware.
- Strong familiarity with agentic orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or PydanticAI.
- Proficiency in advanced prompt management, token optimization, and managing external skill libraries.
- Comfort working across multiple layers of a modern web application stack, including frontend components, API service layers, and relational databases.
- Proficiency with automated delivery tooling, container orchestration, and packaging systems for secure execution environments.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
