  • Lead capital equipment procurement, covering specifications, vendor selection, installation, and qualification.
  • Manage timelines and budgets for manufacturing engineering workstreams during the broader factory standup.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues in real time to support the ramp and stabilization of production lines.
  • Configure Manufacturing Execution System processes and instructions to maintain tracking, traceability, and quality control.
  • Partner with supply chain, quality, and production departments to ensure safe, compliant, and timely manufacturing operations.

What you need

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bring 5 to 10 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within aircraft or automotive production environments.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience designing custom tooling, fixtures, and test stands from scratch.
  • Possess practical experience building manufacturing process flows, standard workstations, and procuring industrial equipment.
  • Show direct experience setting up Manufacturing Execution Systems from a process and work instruction perspective.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills with a track record of managing timelines and budgets in fast-paced settings.
  • Maintain U.S. citizenship as required by the operational domain.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in drone, UAS, or aerospace/defense manufacturing
  • Experience standing up a greenfield manufacturing facility
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications
  • CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar software for tooling and fixture design
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or IATF 16949 quality systems
