Senior Manager, Physical AI Communications
About this role
Managing the communications strategy for Physical AI involves defining core messaging, building proof points, and operating media and thought-leadership programs for robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial manufacturers, and scientific research teams. This high-ownership individual contributor role sits within an eight-person Communications team, working directly with leadership, technical experts, and customers to shape how the market understands AI infrastructure. Candidates will drive both strategy and hands-on execution without relying on an agency.

What you will do
- Own the Physical AI communications strategy by establishing narrative frameworks, core messaging, and priority media maps across leaders and launches.
- Lead end-to-end communications for product, partner, and customer announcements through earned-media outreach and post-launch measurement.
- Build and execute an executive visibility program for Physical AI leadership that includes interviews, keynotes, bylines, and industry events.
- Create a repeatable pipeline of customer and partner stories spanning robotics, autonomous systems, and scientific AI applications.
- Maintain relationships with business, technology, and trade reporters covering AI infrastructure, robotics, and autonomy.
- Write press releases, pitches, blogs, bylines, briefing documents, and messaging frameworks to support ongoing program needs.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Content, Social, Brand, Sales, and Legal to ensure a unified narrative across every channel.
What you need
- Bring 7 or more years of B2B technology communications experience gained in-house, at an agency, or through a combination of both.
- Demonstrate a track record of leading integrated product, partner, or customer launches end to end from strategy to measurement.
- Possess experience writing and placing press releases, pitches, bylines, blogs, and executive talking points on technical subject matter.
- Maintain established relationships with business and technology media or show a documented record of building a beat from scratch.
- Provide direct communications counsel to senior executives on announcement strategy, spokesperson preparation, and issues management.
- Translate technical subject matter involving infrastructure, hardware, AI/ML, or simulation into accurate narratives for non-specialist audiences.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams to deadline in a fast-moving environment with hands-on execution.
Nice to have
- Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, simulation, digital twins, industrial technology, scientific computing, or AI cloud infrastructure
- Experience supporting technical founders, engineers, researchers, or product leaders as spokespeople
- Global communications experience including major industry events such as GTC, CES, Hannover Messe, or ICRA
- Experience with analyst relations, policy communications, content strategy, or investor communications

What is the compensation range for this role?
The base salary range for this position is $149,000 to $198,000. The starting salary is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

This role can be based out of Livingston, NJ, New York, NY, Sunnyvale, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Bellevue, WA.
