Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers focused on AI execution while serving as a player-coach with twenty percent hands-on responsibilities.
Conduct performance reviews, deliver feedback, and build development plans to support career growth in cloud-native AI architectures.
Manage resource allocation, team productivity, and project delivery within timeline and budget constraints.
Oversee the complete software and AI development lifecycle from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
Ensure adherence to coding, testing, and documentation best practices to maintain high software quality and operational excellence.
Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives for cloud-based AI solutions.
Communicate status, issues, and risks to senior management while reporting on model performance and cloud compute spend.
Contribute to software engineering strategy alignment with enterprise AI adoption business goals.
Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and long-term capacity planning for AWS workloads.
Act as a liaison translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development.
At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
Strong proficiency in full-stack engineering, software development methodologies, NodeJS, concurrency, JSON, and REST.
Demonstrated expertise in scalable NodeJS full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Excellent leadership, team-building, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience working with agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and large language models such as Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI.
