The chosen candidate will guide a talented technical group, influencing how over 120 million daily active users connect through shared interests and content.

Key Responsibilities

Formulate the long-term roadmap and technical vision for Feed Relevance, merging advanced machine learning solutions with business and product objectives.
Mentor, coach, and support team members to foster skill development and maximize professional impact.
Collaborate across departments with cross-functional partners to set expectations, discover opportunities, and share team progress.
Supervise the optimization, design, and development of sophisticated content distribution, discovery, and relevance systems.
Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to design the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
Ensure operational excellence by upholding high benchmarks for reliability, efficiency, and system performance alongside responsible AI principles.
Work closely with recruiting to interview, attract, and hire diverse machine learning talent.

Requirements

Bring at least 5 years of professional experience building and managing high-performing machine learning teams.
Possess hands-on experience working with large-scale production machine learning systems, including Large Language Models, sequence models, or transformer-based architectures.
Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in recommender systems, covering value modeling, candidate retrieval, ranking, measurement strategies, and ecosystem dynamics.
Exhibit strategic thinking skills with the ability to articulate a clear technical vision aligned with broader company goals.
Maintain an impact-driven mindset focused on building scalable and responsible AI solutions.
Offer exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $266,000 to $372,400 USD, with final offers determined by factors such as skills, depth of experience, and credentials. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.
