Bumble is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for its Matching and Recommendations team in Austin, Texas, with remote work flexibility available. Key Responsibilities

Design and launch machine learning models that enhance user recommendations, ranking accuracy, and personalization features.
Manage complex initiatives across the entire machine learning lifecycle, ranging from initial data discovery to production deployment and monitoring.
Build and maintain dependable, scalable data pipelines utilizing distributed tools like Spark and Airflow.
Utilize established machine learning frameworks to construct, optimize, and train production-level models.
Contribute to robust experimentation systems, incorporating A/B testing and offline evaluation methods.
Partner alongside product and engineering teams to transform user needs into practical machine learning systems.
Practice responsible artificial intelligence by prioritizing fairness, safety, and transparency throughout the model development cycle.

Requirements

Bring approximately five to eight years of relevant professional experience, or alternative backgrounds demonstrating equivalent capabilities.
Demonstrated background in creating and deploying machine learning models into live production environments.
Proficient in Python along with hands-on practice utilizing major machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Familiarity with distributed systems and data pipelines like Spark and Airflow for supporting machine learning tasks.
Practical knowledge of model evaluation techniques and experimentation frameworks such as A/B testing.
Strong collaborative skills and an agile mindset that adapts approaches based on incoming data and shifting priorities.
