Role Overview

Crusoe is looking for an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to support its expanding manufacturing facility in Arvada. This full-time role involves partnering with local management to establish, maintain, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety performance, processes, and culture. The ideal candidate will combine a high degree of technical safety understanding with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct proactive risk assessments across worksites and generate clear, actionable recommendations to minimize worker risk.
Develop and implement comprehensive HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists for consistent facility application.
Monitor operational compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, internal company policies, and established procedures.
Track and report on key health, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics to integrate HSE into management priorities.
Facilitate thorough incident investigations, lead root cause analyses following any accidents, and track the status of corrective actions.
Plan and assist with compliance audits and self-assessments while acting as a primary liaison with external regulatory agencies.
Coordinate and participate in staff HSE training to foster strong safety awareness and program involvement across the workforce.
Maintain meticulous documentation control to ensure all relevant safety records are updated and readily accessible.

Requirements

Bring a minimum of 5 to 7+ years of relevant industry experience, with manufacturing sector experience preferred.
Possess a university degree, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Demonstrate solid technical knowledge of federal and state level HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Utilize strong computer proficiency, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and Google Suite.
Communicate effectively through both written and verbal channels.
Legally live and work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Clear a background check and participate in drug and alcohol program testing, as this is a designated safety-sensitive position.

Nice to Have

Hold professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST).
Bring previous experience supporting HSE programs within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
