Suno is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for an in-person position based in New York City. This role suits an experienced technical leader with a passion for music and consumer technology who wants to help shape the future of AI-driven creative entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

Own the technical direction for a product pillar, establishing architectural strategies and ensuring scalable systems for millions of users.
Manage, mentor, and coach a group of Engineering Managers while building a high-performing team culture.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and data science leaders to define multi-team roadmaps and ship impactful features.
Guide the complete development lifecycle from initial ideation through to launch across several teams simultaneously.
Champion top-tier engineering craft, emphasizing code quality, rigorous testing, and system maintainability.

Requirements

Seven or more years of experience managing software engineering teams within a direct-to-consumer product organization.
Demonstrated history of managing other engineering managers and delivering impactful consumer products at scale.
Solid technical background capable of code review, architectural guidance, and codebase contributions when necessary.
Proven expertise in creating multi-team roadmaps and translating organizational ambiguity into actionable execution plans.
Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining exceptional engineering talent and leaders.
Practical background in building and operating production systems at scale.
Forward-looking mindset regarding the integration of AI and agentic coding into engineering workflows.
A genuine appreciation for music across any genre.

Annual salary range between $276,000 and $363,000 in USD
