Role Overview
Crusoe is seeking a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to join the IT, Compliance, and Security team in San Francisco, CA. This full-time position suits an experienced security professional with a strong background in endpoint management, device visibility, and automated security controls.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and improve Jamf and Microsoft Intune environments for macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices, maintaining configuration profiles and update enforcement.
Implement automated enrollment workflows utilizing Apple Business Manager and Windows Autopilot for zero-touch provisioning at scale.
Maintain a structured patch management program featuring clear service level agreements for operating system and application updates across all hardware platforms.
Define and enforce device compliance baselines that align with organizational security standards, CIS Benchmarks, and SOC 2 frameworks.
Integrate mobile device management telemetry with endpoint detection and response and security information and event management tools to monitor compliance drift.
Partner with security teams to enforce device trust policies, conditional access, certificate-based authentication, and network-level access controls.
Write scripts and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to minimize manual tasks and build self-service tooling for employees.
Manage mobile device management runbooks, asset records, documentation, and participate in the IT on-call rotation as an escalation point.
Requirements
Three to six years of professional experience working with Jamf, Kandji, and Microsoft Intune.
Foundational expertise utilizing OSQuery and CrowdStrike for endpoint visibility, threat detection, and response.
Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management principles using Okta Device Trust, FastPass, and Entra ID Conditional Access.
Proven capability to independently drive research and development initiatives from initial planning through implementation.
Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for device policy automation and remediation.
Solid working knowledge of certificate infrastructures including SCEP and PKCS, alongside experience with Absolute for Windows persistence.
Demonstrated ability to maintain thorough documentation and communicate technical requirements effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or possessing equivalent practical professional experience.
Nice to Have
Practical experience with Jamf Pro administration covering smart groups, configuration profiles, and Jamf Connect integrations.
Familiarity with Jamf Protect, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or alternative enterprise endpoint detection and response tools.
Background managing Linux endpoints through platforms like Fleet or Puppet.
Professional certifications such as the Apple Certified Support Professional credential.
Prior exposure to security information and event management tooling and endpoint log pipelines.
Experience working within a fast-paced, high-growth technology company experiencing rapid headcount expansion.
