Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve the driver layer to deliver high-performance application programming interfaces for company devices.
Build and maintain both user-mode and kernel-mode drivers for hardware, encompassing Linux kernel drivers for system integration.
Establish driver interfaces and specifications to support the broader software stack across internal and third-party hardware.
Partner with kernel and hardware engineering groups to guarantee efficient cross-layer design, performance, and PCIe-based device integration.
Assist with external integrations through performance engineering, benchmarking, profiling, and optimization of application programming interfaces and driver paths in client environments, including safety-critical scenarios.

Requirements

Bring seven or more years of background as a deep systems engineer focusing on device drivers or low-level systems programming.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in C and C++ programming alongside a solid grasp of hardware-software interfaces.
Possess practical background building Linux kernel drivers, which includes kernel architecture, troubleshooting, and kernel-space to user-space interactions.
Show previous work developing drivers for high-speed I/O or interconnect technologies such as PCIe, with PCIe driver creation strongly preferred.
Maintain familiarity with user-mode and kernel-mode driver models, recognizing the distinctions between Linux kernel driver development and bare-metal or real-time operating system environments.
