Senior Data Scientist - Marketing (Hybrid)
About this role
Developing value-based bidding models and automated systems to deliver real-time predictions to ad platforms forms the core of daily operations. Working within the Marketing team at Enova, the individual will own value-based bidding across digital channels and design experiments to prove acquisition efficiency. Collaboration with the Pricing and Profitability team ensures value estimates align with core lifetime value models.
Created to bridge machine learning and paid media, the role directs digital marketing spend by predicting prospective customer value over their full lifetime. Candidates who excel here possess strong data science fundamentals, programming skills in Python, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment without requiring a prior marketing background.
What you will do
- Build, validate, and maintain machine learning models that estimate customer lifetime value at early funnel stages for real-time bidding.
- Design and implement automated systems that pass value estimates to ad platforms through conversion APIs and server-side integrations.
- Partner with the Pricing and Profitability team to maintain consistency with core lifetime value and return-on-equity models.
- Design and analyze experiments such as holdouts, geo tests, and incrementality studies to measure acquisition efficiency.
- Act as a data science partner to the broader Marketing team on channel optimization, budget allocation, and funnel analytics.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to Marketing and Data Science leadership to provide a data-driven growth perspective.
What you need
- Hold a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Bring four or more years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrate proficient programming skills with Python and the ability to write customized programs for meaningful data analysis.
- Possess experience working with relational databases such as SQL.
- Show excellent knowledge of applied statistical methods and machine learning models.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to digital marketing or martech/adtech platforms, conversion tracking, attribution, or marketing measurement
- Experience in finance or lending, lifetime value estimation, or unit economics modeling
- Experience deploying models into production systems or building automated data pipelines

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $96,000 to $125,000. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process.
