About this role
Detecting and blocking evolving fraud attempts across lending products requires sophisticated modeling to protect the platform while keeping credit accessible. Enova needs a Lead Data Scientist to run the quantitative engine of the fraud prevention effort by developing algorithms and pattern-recognition pipelines that surface suspicious activity.
Working within an analytics department of 100 professionals, the person who takes on this job will sit at the center of a fast feedback loop with the Fraud Operations team. By analyzing false positives and false negatives from manual investigations, the successful candidate will continuously sharpen risk models and recommend verification strategies.
Candidates who thrive in this environment possess deep technical expertise in Python and SQL alongside a background in fraud analytics or risk modeling. Someone who enjoys hands-on data crunching, mentoring teammates, and collaborating across departments will find a strong cultural and technical fit here.
