Role Overview

The Senior Back-End/MLOps Engineer position bridges full-stack product engineering and machine learning operations for a digital housing platform. The professional chosen for this role will design and support backend systems that drive search, ranking, and matching functions, alongside production machine learning pipelines and real-time data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and maintain full-stack features for marketplace products, covering user interfaces, search functions, and ranking systems.
Manage MLOps infrastructure including model deployment pipelines, real-time data flows, monitoring tools, and feature stores.
Partner with data scientists and software engineers to transition machine learning models into reliable production environments.
Write testable, clean code while participating in regular code reviews.
Plan technical architectures and divide complex tasks into manageable milestones.
Address and resolve scalability, performance, and reliability bottlenecks within existing systems.
Utilize SQL, experimentation frameworks, A/B testing methods, and data pipelines.
Coordinate with distributed teams across time zones and communicate project status clearly.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering background emphasizing backend or full-stack development.
Competency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Practical background deploying machine learning systems or managing MLOps tools like Vertex AI, MLflow, or Kubeflow.
Familiarity with feature stores such as Chalk.
Proficiency in SQL and handling data or feature pipelines.
Background using cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a preference for GCP.
Knowledge of model deployment and machine learning fundamentals.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and clear cross-functional communication skills.
