Truelogic is hiring a Senior Back-End/MLOps Engineer to join a real estate technology client in Santo Domingo. This position suits an experienced developer who wants to build backend infrastructure and machine learning pipelines for a digital housing marketplace.

Role Overview

The position involves working on a marketplace team at the intersection of full-stack product engineering and machine learning operations. Responsibilities include building backend systems for search, ranking, and matching while supporting production machine learning workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain full-stack features for marketplace products such as search, ranking, and user-facing interfaces.
Build and support MLOps infrastructure including model deployment pipelines, feature stores, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring.
Partner with data scientists and engineers to release machine learning models into production at scale.
Produce clean, tested, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews.
Plan technical initiatives and break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
Address performance, reliability, and scalability issues across existing systems.
Utilize SQL, data and feature pipelines, and experimentation or A/B testing frameworks.
Coordinate effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Requirements

Five or more years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend or full-stack development.
Proficiency in at least one programming language among Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Practical experience with production machine learning systems and MLOps tools such as Vertex AI, MLflow, or Kubeflow.
Experience with feature stores such as Chalk or comparable technologies.
Demonstrated SQL skills and familiarity with data and feature pipelines.
Experience utilizing cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a preference for GCP.
Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and model deployment processes.
Strong debugging capabilities, ownership mindset, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to Have

Background in search, ranking, recommendation systems, real-time systems, or latency optimization.
Experience in online marketplaces, peer mentoring, frontend development, A/B testing, or AI-assisted development tools.
