Role Overview

Truelogic is hiring a Senior Back-End/MLOps Engineer to join a marketplace team operating at the intersection of machine learning operations and full-stack product engineering. Based in São Paulo, the professional will build and maintain backend systems for search, ranking, and matching while supporting machine learning pipelines, model deployment, and real-time data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and sustain full-stack features across marketplace products including user-facing experiences, search, and ranking functions.

Implement and support MLOps infrastructure encompassing model deployment pipelines, monitoring, real-time data pipelines, and feature stores.

Partner with engineers and data scientists to deploy machine learning models reliably at scale.

Produce clean, maintainable, tested code and engage in code reviews.

Participate in technical planning to decompose complex problems into manageable tasks.

Detect and fix reliability, scalability, and performance bottlenecks in current systems.

Utilize SQL, experimentation and A/B testing frameworks, along with data and feature pipelines.

Report progress, highlight roadblocks early, and work alongside distributed teams across time zones.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional software engineering background featuring robust backend or full-stack expertise.

Proficiency in at least one programming language among Python, Go, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Practical background in production machine learning systems or MLOps utilizing platforms like MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, or equivalent.

Familiarity with feature stores such as Chalk or similar technology.

Advanced SQL capabilities alongside practical work with feature and data pipelines.

Cloud platform usage involving GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a preference for GCP.

Comprehension of model deployment and machine learning principles.

Troubleshooting proficiency, strong ownership perspective, and clear communication skills.

Capability to cooperate with cross-functional peers spanning multiple time zones.

Nice to Have

Background in recommendation systems, search, ranking, real-time architectures, or performance and latency tuning.

Familiarity with online marketplaces, frontend development, mentoring peers, A/B testing, or AI-assisted development utilities.
