Role Overview
The Senior Atlassian Cloud Engineer position at Crusoe in San Francisco, CA is a full-time role suited for an experienced professional ready to own the company's Atlassian ecosystem. This position blends technical system administration with project management to optimize Jira, Confluence, and related platforms for a growing enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations and long-term strategy for Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Opsgenie, Product Discovery, and Statuspage.
Configure and customize workflows, permissions, dashboards, and automation to streamline project execution and collaboration.
Partner with internal teams to integrate effective project management and IT service management practices within the Atlassian platform.
Build advanced reports and analytics utilizing eazyBI, filters, dashboards, JQL, and CQL for real-time decision-making.
Serve as the primary escalation contact for intricate platform troubles, collaborating directly with internal desks and Atlassian Support.
Lead platform upgrades and drive AI initiatives, including building custom agents with Atlassian Rovo.
Work alongside IT teams to maintain security, system reliability, and alignment with overarching business goals.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian Cloud environments within enterprise setups.
Demonstrated ownership of Jira and Confluence site administration, day-to-day operations, and customization.
Advanced knowledge of Jira project configurations, such as workflows, permission schemes, issue types, field configurations, and project roles.
Proficient command of eazyBI, JQL, and CQL for generating advanced analytics and reports.
Direct experience setting up and operating ITSM processes in Jira Service Management, including Incident, Change, Problem, and CMDB/Assets.
Clear understanding of release management, change control, role-based access control, and administrative best practices.
Practical background in setting up authentication and authorization using identity providers like Okta.
Familiarity with integrating Atlassian products with other corporate systems using structured data formats like JSON and YAML.
Nice to Have
Possession of Atlassian Cloud Professional certifications, with two or more preferred.
Prior experience spearheading AI-driven projects inside Atlassian, such as Rovo agent development.
Background handling large-scale migrations or implementations of Atlassian tools.
Experience supporting complex security frameworks and external user access models.
Previous employment in fast-paced or highly cross-functional business environments.
