Role Overview

DailyPay is hiring a Senior AI & ML Scientist to join the Data Science team at the NYC Headquarters. This individual contributor role focuses on executing complex modeling work and growing strategic influence across product and business stakeholders. The professional in this position will build and maintain models that personalize the worker experience, support fraud controls, and optimize financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Build, improve, and maintain machine learning models for user experience personalization, on-demand pay balance optimization, content personalization, and fraud controls.
Construct reliable data pipelines and features for model development while adhering to infrastructure standards and advocating for engineering solutions.
Develop, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and improve batch and real-time models according to production standards.
Keep current on artificial intelligence and machine learning developments, applying sound judgment in algorithm selection and technique adoption.
Write clean, well-documented, traceable, versioned, and reproducible code for all model development and pipeline work.
Contribute to data quality standards, validation practices, and team pattern improvements.
Partner with product and engineering teams to translate defined business questions into structured data science solutions.
Communicate model results and technical tradeoffs clearly to cross-functional partners and connect technical outputs to business outcomes.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of machine learning experience within fintech, payments, or a similarly regulated consumer domain.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, machine learning, statistics, or data science.
Demonstrated track record of independently building and shipping production models that impact end-user experience and drive measurable business outcomes.
Experience building and maintaining feature engineering pipelines with advanced SQL and Python skills.
Hands-on experience with end-to-end model deployment, data pipelines, model monitoring, drift detection, and A/B test execution.
Experience owning models in production environments with financial or compliance consequences.
Proficiency across modern AI, classical machine learning, statistical, and probabilistic methods.
