Acquisition.com Home is seeking a remote Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade AI agents for the ACQ Vantage platform. This hands-on engineering position is ideal for an experienced developer who thrives on turning artificial intelligence concepts into reliable, high-impact business systems.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, remote opportunity based in the United States that requires daily coding and rapid iteration. The person in this role will work within a lean technology team to build agentic workflows that interact with internal tools, data sources, and products. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and understands practical LLM behavior in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and end-to-end agentic workflows for ACQ Vantage.
Integrate large language models with internal systems, data sources, and APIs while ensuring performance and reliability.
Own and improve retrieval-augmented generation pipelines across multiple Pinecone namespaces, managing chunking strategies and hybrid retrieval.
Build and maintain comprehensive evaluation frameworks including golden datasets, automated quality scoring, and latency benchmarks.
Optimize model routing and tiering to improve unit economics while preserving output quality.
Instrument the artificial intelligence layer for observability, tracking token usage, cost-per-request, and anomaly detection.

Requirements

Seven or more years of experience shipping production software systems such as distributed backends, APIs, and monitoring pipelines.
Two or more years building production retrieval-augmented generation systems using vector databases like Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, or Weaviate.
Demonstrated experience building and deploying multi-step LLM workflows and AI agents in production.
Background in creating or contributing to evaluation frameworks for LLM-based products.
Proven ability to reduce API costs through caching, model routing, token management, or architecture improvements.
Practical knowledge of multiple LLM providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, including prompt behavior and failure modes.
Proficiency in both TypeScript and Python.
