Role Overview

As a Senior AI Engineer, the individual will create and optimize cutting-edge systems at the intersection of generative artificial intelligence and voice recognition. Working within the Spike AI team, the engineer will focus on delivering low-latency, scalable, and compliant solutions tailored for the healthcare, government, and insurance sectors. The position operates within a hybrid work model with an office based in Vilnius.

Key Responsibilities

Optimize the voice artificial intelligence platform to achieve lower latency and higher scalability using open-source technologies.
Design interfaces and parallel processing capabilities to connect speech-to-text, voice activity detection, large language models, text-to-speech, and external application programming interfaces.
Implement data synchronization methods for simultaneous voice and text streams within parallel workflows.
Build abstraction layers for large language model usage to carefully balance cost, performance, and accuracy.
Upgrade internal tools dedicated to system observability, monitoring, and data inspection at scale.
Construct vital integrations to link clinical workflows directly with company systems.
Refine software infrastructure to support model fine-tuning and deployment.

Requirements

Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities to tackle intricate technical challenges.
