Scale Solution Engineer
About this role
Databricks needs to solve the challenge of guiding a growing customer base efficiently across their entire lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluation to production deployment. To tackle this, the company is hiring a Scale Solution Engineer in Heredia, Costa Rica, to build and operate AI-augmented workflows that allow a single engineer to deliver high-quality technical guidance at scale.
In this capacity, you will support multiple customers concurrently by providing technical solutions and helping them make optimal decisions regarding the Data + AI Platform. You will also become an authority on the platform, ensuring clients have an exceptional experience throughout their adoption journey.
Candidates who excel here possess strong time management abilities alongside technical foundations in data analytics, cloud platforms, and programming. A successful hire will combine interpersonal skills with practical knowledge of cloud environments and data engineering workflows to address customer needs effectively.
What you will do
- You will guide customers across multiple stages of their lifecycle, spanning pre-sales evaluation, onboarding, and production deployment.
- You will build and utilize AI-augmented workflows that enable one engineer to deliver quality technical guidance at scale.
- You will become a platform expert and help customers make informed technical decisions regarding the Databricks Data + AI Platform.
- You will work directly with multiple customers concurrently to provide tailored technical solutions.
- You will assess customer needs, build relationships, address objections, and showcase platform value using strong communication skills.
What you need
- Hold an undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or possess similar relevant experience.
- Bring at least one year of experience in a technical role, preferably within the data, AI, or cloud field.
- Demonstrate knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Possess knowledge of AI-driven development utilizing programming languages like Python or SQL.
- Show an understanding of end-to-end data analytics and data engineering workflows.
- Exhibit excellent time management, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
