Python with Django - Python with Django L3 (5.1-7 years)
About this role
You collaborate daily with business stakeholders and lead data scientists in Chennai to improve models through data collection, curation, feature engineering, and automated modeling pipelines. Capco operates a flat, non-hierarchical structure where team members work directly with senior partners on transformative projects for international financial institutions and energy sector clients.
This L3 role exists to support the deployment of AI applications to production, manage model monitoring for data drift, and apply analytical methods spanning classical machine learning and generative AI. Ideal candidates combine strong Python and data management skills with an analytical mindset, effective communication, and the resilience needed to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural Agile environment.
What you will do
- You help make better use of data through collection, labeling, curation, structuring, and feature engineering to improve models.
- You apply a range of analytical methods to answer business questions and improve company assets and models.
- You support the deployment of AI applications to production using a comprehensive tool stack including CI/CD pipelines, AirFlow, and MlFlow.
- You help establish effective model monitoring, including tracking historical input and target data to detect drift.
- You help automate the modeling pipeline while promoting new technologies and best practices in testing.
- You analyze requirements regarding automation and continuously strive for further improvement by presenting new proposals.
What you need
- You hold at least a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, or engineering, or possess equivalent qualifications.
- You bring 5.1 to 7 years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years of data science experience preferably within the financial sector.
- You demonstrate strong hands-on experience with SQL, Pandas, Hadoop/Spark, and web scraping.
- You possess extensive experience in programming with Python and apply a broad range of analytical methods in classical machine learning and generative AI.
- You bring practical familiarity with deploying AI applications to production using CI/CD, AirFlow, and MlFlow.
- You have professional experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- You are fluent in English with effective communication skills for collaborating with business stakeholders and team members.
