About this role

Glean is developing an enterprise work AI platform that powers intelligent search, assistants, and scalable AI agents through an open ecosystem and robust APIs. The product management team focuses on agent interop, developer tooling, and partnership ecosystems to make enterprise AI accessible and customizable.

In this position, the product manager leads the strategy and execution for public APIs, SDKs, and Model Context Protocol integrations targeted at customer and partner developers. Responsibilities include defining the complete developer journey from initial onboarding to advanced telemetry, writing sample applications to test edge cases, and establishing API contracts before engineering development begins.

Candidates who thrive in this environment bring a heavily technical product management background with direct experience in developer platforms, API design, and enterprise integrations. The ideal person combines rigorous metric tracking with developer empathy, ensuring external builders can reliably integrate AI capabilities into production workflows.

What you will do

  • Own the design and lifecycle evolution of public APIs and SDKs, managing versioning, deprecations, and backwards-compatibility guarantees.
  • Specify the end-to-end developer experience covering authentication, onboarding, error handling, rate limiting, and webhooks.
  • Write code, build sample applications, and run integrations personally to evaluate developer workflows before customer release.
  • Analyze support tickets and user forum patterns to treat recurring friction points as product and design defects.
  • Define and defend key performance metrics such as time-to-first-call, integration success rates, and API error frequencies.
  • Lock down API contracts and requirements prior to engineering implementation while maintaining scope control.

What you need

  • Bring 5 or more years of product management experience focused on platform, developer experience, APIs, SDKs, or partnership-driven products.
  • Possess a deeply technical background capable of evaluating API contracts, request payloads, logs, and telemetry alongside software engineers.
  • Demonstrate a track record of building or leading robust, scalable APIs and SDKs adopted by external developers.
  • Exhibit strong product taste for developer interfaces, clear resource design, and machine-readable error handling.
  • Communicate clearly through concise specifications and accurate documentation that guides developers effectively.
  • Define success using adoption, usability, and business metrics for developer-facing products.

Benefits

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage
  • Generous time-off policy
  • 401k plan contribution
  • Home office improvement stipend
  • Annual education and wellness stipends
  • Healthy lunches provided daily
