Key Responsibilities

Define end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities, encompassing model behavior, system performance, and user experience.
Translate model evaluation results, technical constraints, and capabilities into clear product decisions.
Balance trade-offs across quality, cost, latency, reliability, safety, and user experience.
Collaborate closely with backend, machine learning, and client engineers on system iteration, design, and evaluation.
Establish evaluation frameworks spanning offline metrics, human feedback, and online experiments.
Set quality bars and feedback loops for experiences powered by artificial intelligence.
Drive execution through prioritization, specifications, and technical judgment.
Identify system failure modes to ensure predictable behavior and graceful recovery.
Own end-to-end product reliability, correctness, usefulness, and user trust.

Requirements

Possess strong computer science fundamentals along with system design skills.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of modern machine learning and production AI system behavior.
Read technical designs, understand architectures, and engage deeply with engineers.
Exhibit intuition regarding model limitations, hallucinations, evaluation metrics, and failure modes.
Bring significant experience owning complex, technical products from inception to completion.
Show hands-on experience working with AI-powered products, specifically LLM-based systems.
Apply experience in model evaluation, prompting, experimentation, or AI system iteration.
Translate ambiguous problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and executable plans.
Make strategic decisions when correct answers are not obvious.
