About this role

Baseten requires a dedicated operational bridge to ensure sales and solutions teams can keep pace with rapid product rollouts and complex technical landscapes involving inference performance and GPU economics. As the inaugural Product Enablement Lead, you will sit squarely between product, marketing, and sales go-to-market functions to translate launch velocity into field readiness. You will personally build and run repeatable enablement systems, lead cross-functional programs, deliver direct training to account executives and solutions architects, and channel crucial customer feedback straight back into product development.

Operating as a hands-on individual contributor, you will craft the positioning, collateral, and training curricula required to keep the technical ecosystem sharp. Success in this role requires a systematic mindset, deep technical fluency around model serving, and a proven track record of authoring enablement materials yourself. Candidates who thrive here are comfortable operating in ambiguity as the first hire in the function and know how to use AI tooling to accelerate their daily output while keeping pace with a fast-growing infrastructure platform.

What you will do

  • Partner with product and marketing to own launch readiness by writing internal communications and running readiness sessions for account executives and solutions architects.
  • Build and deliver technical enablement programs that establish field credibility regarding inference, GPUs, latency, and deployment structures.
  • Produce customer-facing collateral including decks, battlecards, and demos that withstand technical scrutiny from engineers.
  • Develop repeatable operational systems rather than one-off content pieces to ensure enablement keeps pace with the product roadmap.
  • Manage the feedback loop from customers and the field back to product and marketing to shape future positioning, packaging, and roadmap priorities.
  • Define and track metrics to evaluate enablement effectiveness, such as ramp time, new product adoption in deals, and win rates on recent launches.

What you need

  • Bring over five years of experience in product enablement, go-to-market enablement, field enablement, or product marketing within infrastructure, developer tools, or AI-native companies.
  • Demonstrate prior experience enabling an internal sales field consisting of account executives and solutions architects rather than onboarding external customer engineers.
  • Possess technical depth via a computer science or engineering background, prior solutions engineering experience, or a strong portfolio of self-built demos and technical content.
  • Provide a hands-on track record of personally writing collateral, running training sessions, and building programs, talks, documentation, or certifications.
  • Apply a systems mindset focused on repeatable workflows while comfortably defining and measuring success as an inaugural function hire.
  • Actively utilize AI tools to drive personal productivity in drafting content, translating technical details, and accelerating daily work.
  • Reside in the San Francisco Bay Area or show a willingness to relocate.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents (U.S. only)
  • Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day
  • Paid parental leave
  • Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
  • Company-facilitated 401(k) (U.S. only)
